The Hikvision DS-2CD2046G2-I outdoor AcuSense IP camera offers 8 megapixel resolution and a 2.8 mm fixed lens, providing an approx. 110° field of view. The IP67-rated housing is resistant to water and dust. The IR LED night illumination covers distances of up to 40 metres. The camera is equipped with motion detection and WDR technology, which improves image quality in challenging lighting conditions (for example, when the sun is shining directly into the lens, the camera compensates to deliver a usable image). Available intelligent AcuSense analytics include line crossing detection, area intrusion detection, object removal detection, face detection, and human and vehicle classification. It supports the H.265+ compression format, which is particularly important for IP cameras as it reduces required bandwidth and storage space for recordings. Easy installation is enabled by PoE, as both video signal and power are transmitted over a single UTP cable, so there is no need to run multiple cables. The device features a card slot for SD cards, and the camera has a built-in microphone.
