The Hikvision DS-2CD1083G2-LIUF outdoor IP camera offers 8 megapixel resolution and a 2.8 mm fixed lens, providing a 113° field of view. The IP67-rated housing is both water- and dust-resistant. Infrared or white LED illumination delivers clear night vision up to 30 metres. When using the white LED, the camera can capture colour images even at night. The two illumination modes can be switched automatically by the camera or set manually if preferred. The camera features smart motion detection and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, which improves image quality in challenging lighting conditions (for example, when there is strong backlight, the camera compensates to keep the image usable). Smart motion detection can distinguish people and vehicles from other objects, significantly reducing false alarms. It supports H.265+ compression, which is especially important for IP cameras as it reduces required bandwidth and storage space. Installation is simplified by PoE, as both video signal and power are transmitted over a single UTP cable, eliminating the need to run multiple cables. The camera also includes an SD card slot that supports memory cards up to 512 GB. With its built-in microphone, it can record audio as well.

The NVR offers a 4K HDMI output, so camera footage can be viewed in 4K on a TV or monitor. It includes a range of intelligent functions that enhance surveillance efficiency and reduce the need for manual review. With AcuSense, the recorder provides advanced motion detection plus human/vehicle classification and analysis, helping to cut down on false alarms. Face recognition features include face comparison and basic face detection. Smart search makes it easier to find events within a selected area of the image, while smart playback improves review efficiency. Using the Hik-Connect app, you can view live and recorded footage from the connected IP cameras remotely on your phone.
