The Hikvision DS-2CD2383G2-IU outdoor dome AcuSense IP camera offers 8 megapixel resolution and a 2.8 mm fixed lens, providing an approx. 100° field of view. The IP67-rated housing is resistant to water and dust. IR LED night illumination covers distances of up to 30 metres. The camera features motion detection and WDR technology to improve image quality in challenging lighting conditions (for example, when facing strong backlight, the camera compensates to deliver a usable image). Available intelligent AcuSense analytics include line crossing, area intrusion, object detection, face detection, and human and vehicle classification. It supports the H.265+ compression format, which is particularly important for IP cameras as it helps reduce required bandwidth and storage space for recordings. Easy installation is enabled by PoE, as both video signal and power are transmitted over a single UTP cable, eliminating the need to run multiple cables. The device includes a card slot for SD cards, and the camera has a built-in microphone.
