The Hikvision DS-2CD1743G2-IZS vandal-resistant outdoor IP camera offers 4 megapixel resolution and a varifocal, motorised 2.8–12 mm lens, providing a field of view between 29.2° and 95.9°. The IP67-rated housing is water- and dust-resistant. Its IK10 impact rating shows it is designed to withstand external impacts such as blows. IR LEDs provide night-time illumination up to 30 metres. The camera features motion detection and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, which improves image quality in challenging lighting conditions (for example, when facing strong backlight, the camera compensates to keep the image usable). It supports the H.265+ compression format, which is particularly important for IP cameras as it reduces required bandwidth and storage space for recordings. Easy installation is enabled by PoE, as both video signal and power run through a single UTP cable, eliminating the need for multiple cables. The device also includes a card slot for SD cards.
