The Dahua NVR2108HS-8P-4KS3 is an 8-channel IP NVR with 8 built-in PoE ports. IP cameras can be connected directly to the recorder and powered without additional switches, simplifying system setup.
The NVR supports H.265+ compression, which can significantly reduce required storage compared with older H.264-based recorders. It supports an internal HDD up to 16 TB (not included). HDMI and VGA outputs can be used at the same time, with up to 4K resolution, allowing connection to both a TV and a monitor.
Using the DMSS app, you can view live images and playback recordings from the connected cameras remotely on your smartphone. The mobile app is available in multiple languages, including Hungarian.

Yes. If you connect the NVR to the internet and install the manufacturer’s app or software on your phone or computer, you can access both live images and recordings remotely from anywhere with an internet connection.
Yes. The NVR does not require internet access if you only want to record and review footage locally. You will need an internal HDD (not included) with enough capacity for your recordings. Saved footage can be reviewed directly from the NVR.
Motion-based recording is generally recommended. The NVR then records only when motion is detected, which saves storage space and reduces wear on the drive. It also makes it easier and faster to find relevant events during playback.
No. The NVR automatically overwrites the oldest recordings when the HDD reaches full capacity, so manual deletion is not required.
In IP systems this depends on the powering device, such as the NVR or PoE switch. Some switches can support distances over 500 m depending on camera bandwidth, while typical PoE switches can transmit power and video up to around 200–300 m.
