The POE connector is widely used with IP cameras, as this adapter allows both data transfer and power to run through a standard UTP cable. Simply connect it to both ends of a regular UTP (PATCH) cable and data and power will be transmitted over a single line. The DC power connector size is 5.5 x 2.1 mm, a standard camera power connector.
